Easter Chocolate Cocktails
62To me Easter means chocolate! I know there are a lot more reasons to celebrate, but all I’m interested in is my chocolate Easter eggs! I have had a bit of a look around at Easter Cocktails on the web and I have come across ones some that don't contain any chocolate!!! So if you love chocolate you will love my Easter Chocolate Cocktail Selection.
From the Chocolate Easter Bunny cocktail to the Chocolate Caramel Easter Egg cocktail and lots more in between I hope you manage to find a favorite Easter cocktail to enjoy this year.
Chocolate Martini Easter Egg
A few years ago I won an Easter Egg Basket filled with Easter eggs, I was speechless and very excited. At that time my daughter didn’t like chocolate and my husband isn’t a very big chocolate fan so that meant the WHOLE basket was for me!
One of the eggs was a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Egg, I absolutely adore Terry’s Chocolate Orange so here is a cocktail which is similar in flavor.
Chocolate Orange Martini
2 shots vodka
2 shots white crème de cacao
1 shot triple sec
Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.
Now I am of the opinion that anything will go with chocolate, but not everyone agrees with me! One thing that the majority of people do agree on is that berries and chocolate are a great combination which leads me to our next Easter chocolate cocktail.
Raspberry Chocolate Martini
Flavored vodkas are absolutely fabulous as they allow us to make so many different types of cocktails such as this one.
2 ½ shots raspberry vodka
1 ½ shots white crème de cacao
Shake the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve. This is great with a couple of fresh raspberries as a garnish.
Baileys mixes really well with crème de cacao (chocolate liqueur) and there are also some delicious new flavors that have been released over the last year or so which intensify flavors.
Chocolate Caramel Easter Egg
I created this concoction just recently when my husband brought me back some Bailey’s Caramel from an overseas trip.
30 ml Baileys Caramel
30 ml crème de cacao
10 ml butterscotch schnapps
Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and then strain into a cocktail glass to serve.
Chocolate Easter Bunny
I adapted this recipe from one that I was served many years ago on the Kookaburra Queen in Brisbane (I think the addition of chocolate milk is the icing on the cake!)
1 part Baileys
1 part Kahlua
Chocolate milk
Shake the Baileys and Kahlua together with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a highball glass. Top up with chocolate milk and serve.
Next up is a blended cocktail which always makes a nice change and this one is no exception.
Bailey’s Easter Smoothie
½ oz Baileys
½ oz crème de cacao
½ oz advocaat
2 oz cream
1 banana
½ cup ice
Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve in a hurricane glass with grated chocolate sprinkled on top and a straw to drink through.
