Emerald jewelry really is a perfect gift of love and romance because emeralds are believed to represent true and pure love. Emeralds have been adored for centuries as a gem that promotes well being, they are said to promote not only love, but luck, fertility and fidelity.
Hearts are a classic symbol of love and combining emeralds and hearts in jewelry makes a truly wonderful gift for someone special. I believe that pendants are a great jewelry item to give as you don’t have to worry about getting the sizing right (as with rings) or if they can only wear certain types of ear rings (such as stainless steel, gold, silver etc).
This collection of emerald heart shaped pendants is sure to win you a lot of brownie points if you give them to a special someone for Valentine’s Day, birthday, anniversary or Christmas. I personally don’t mind receiving emeralds on any day of the year and I’m sure I’m not alone in that respect!
Beautiful women throughout the centuries have adorned themselves in emeralds including Cleopatra. I can’t help wondering if this was because one of the Egyptian’s beliefs was that emeralds could promote immortality. The Egyptians weren’t the only ancient civilization to have beliefs about emeralds. Emeralds are one of the world’s oldest gemstones and ancient civilizations around the world have beliefs about the emerald’s powers to promote luck, health and joy.
